[Esper forest]: Forest(#1906R/J%) Stilettos of light pierce through the canopy where clusters of bloated leaves have fallen from their limbs. The fauna is silent in this eerie place, lacking the usual background noise. Puddles of stagnant water mark the former progress of a trickle spring that traversed through the forest. Lying upon the ground are a few skeletons of what look to be dolls. Vines have rotted from the canopy, falling into the paths of those unlucky to travel here. Torin is sitting at the edge of the manatree-clearing, being quiet and looking up to the canopy of the mighty tree in awe, her ears flicking lightly evry now and then Divinity steps into the clearing, looking about with a pleasant smile on her lips. Kibou sort of rolls his head back a bit at the sound of someone approaching, blinking on seeing Divinity ( upside down I might add ). He emits a surprised sort of noise, rolling onto his front immediately and looking up. Someone he hadn't met yet.. "I... hello," he says, before flinching a little. "What's that mean?" he hisses quietly and off to the side. Torin looks up and over to Kibou and then Divinity aswell, her tail swaying about a little as she regards the newcommer with a curious expression, keeping her thoughts to herself now though and staying quiet Divinity steps closer slowly and, on closer examination, she isn't actually looking around, because she seems to be blind. "Hello?" Her voice is soft and melodious as it chimes. Kibou says, as if it weren't obvious, "She's blind..." as he stands now. "Um, we're over here," he says, looking towards Torin for a moment. Someone else was here.... "Who are you..? We didn't see anyone whit before." Torin raises an eyebrow as she recognises Divinitys predicament. Getting up onto her feet she aproaches the woman, carefully resting a paw on her shoulder " we are here mylady. Can we help you somehow ? Divinity smiles warmly as she answers in that clear and beautiful voice. "I answered the summons and have come back." Kibou sighs a little, nodding. So this person definitely Was an esper... "Oh, I see, um..." What ought he say now? "The one who gave the summons, he disappeared but, welcome back." Torin sighs and nods a little, gently squeezing Divinitys shoulder " Im afraied Kibou is speaking the truth. King Phobetor left his crown behind and dissapeared, but Im shure your presence is still needed and cherrished here" Divinity chimes, "Well, I am here now. I might as well enjoy my stay. Although the times feel evil indeed." She smiles a little brighter then. "Maybe a song will brighten up the day." And with that she sits down upon the soil and starts to sing a wordless, but beautiful song. Divinity rolls appearance+performing+performing/singing+5+5+2+5 and scores 15 successes. Kibou blinks and then stares a little at the wonderful notes. It was... "Yes, it's amazing..." he says, without seeming to turn to anyone as he glances again at Torin. "Who Is she.." Torin sighs contently and settls down next to Divinity, her ears flicking softly as she listens to the song, her tail swaying in its ryhtm Divinity keeps on singing, weaving through the song that seems a wordless representation of the birth of a child. Kibou closes his eyes, a funny expression on his face as the picture did somehow seem to weave itself in his head. He nods though, as if in response to something someone said. But with music like this the poisons in the air seemed almost without meaning, almost. Torin murrs quietly and rolls onto her side, watching Divinity with a shy smile " Pklease forgive me my curiousnes mylady.. but are you related tp King Phobetor in more ways then being an esper ? Your song.. it reminds me on one of his own" Divinity first finishes her song in another minute before she closes her lips and turns to Torin. "I am the Lady of the Moon", she chimes. Arinnya comes back, from the Capital, where she had been doing .. something important. Of course she walked from where she landed the airship. She makes her way over to Torin, and Kibou, and looks over the person she has not ever met before, and speaks up.. "Hello, maam, might i inquire as to who you are?" Torin nosd lightly at Divi8nitys words and then she looks over to Arinnya with a shy smile, tailwaving to her and saying nothing to give Divinity a chance to answer the foxtarus question Divinity turns her face in roughly Arinnya's way and answers after a warm smile. Her voice chimes pleasantly, "I am Divinity." Kibou looks around on hearing yet another person approach, bowing and recognising the chancellor. He doesn't say anything though, looking between Divinity and Arinnya instaed and saying quietly, apparently to himself, "Ah, so that's her name..." (( at least if he hadn't found out already, I can't remember for some reason x.x )) Torin just watches quietly for now, not wanting to get in between Dvinity and Arinnya, her tail curling around her hindlegs slowly Arinnya smiles softly, looking her up and down. "Well, i'd be hard pressed to argue that on appearance alone. Its nice to know at least some espers are coming." she looks around a little to the others. "Its somewhat ironic, that there are more mortals here right now.." Divinity chimes, "Yes, it is. We shall just have to wait. But as long as we have to wait, why not get comfortable and hve some fun?" Kibou tilts his head slightly at Divinity's words. "Fun?" he asks, scratching his head and looking about. Admittefly this place seemed half dead and black, but for the longest time he had been wanting to try to enjoy himself with this huge tree nearby.. "How do we do that?" His expression's certainly receptive, enough for two people even. Torin chuckls and shakes her head a little, iddly scritching behind her ears " I most certainly object to that..It.. just might be a bit ackward in case the ol sourpot Phobetor returns just then" Divinity whispers, "I am sure we could relax and have some fun where there is nothing else to do." Kibou laughs some, scratching his head as he looks to Torin. "Come on Lady, don't be like that. Besides, we'll protect you if he does come back," well that sounded overconfident. "And besides, he's not even-" he cuts short and flinches a bit, then nods. "Ah, yeah, sorry..." he just looks to Divinity then. You yerf, "Right now i am needing to .. withdraw this tree, and to distribute .. the mana its got right now, over the forest ... i need help with that ..." Torin sighs a little at Arinnyas words, looking up at the tree and then at Arinnya again , shaking her head ever so lightly "Why Aunt Alynna ? Did that-- man we met yesterday convinved you to do it or was it your own free decision ? Divinity whispers, "I shall help with that, Chancellor." Kibou looks similarly put out. "The tree's going to be killed?" he asks. And he hadn't even had chance to climb it yet... "But why?" Again he glances at Torin. That man from yesterday..? You yerf, "Yes, and no. I'm really kind of nervous .. and this situation is totally out of my control. I'm going to withdraw the tree, if I have my way it will be back, after the forest is better. " Torin sighs and gets up to her feet, lowering her head " If it is your wish.. I shall offer what little help i might be able to contribute... but ust tell me one thing Aunt Alynna...who was that man ? you recognised him.. the expression on your snout was clear enough" Divinity whispers, "Ok, what man are we talking about?" Kibou says, "I Hope so," with almost the level of emphasis employed by his sister. "It feels bad, it's the only living part left and..." he sighs, looking to Torin and letting her speak, and then looking as if he also hoped for an answer. You yerf, "It was Hades. His ass came around to taunt me about how my tree was accelerating the death of the forest." Divinity whispers, "How would it do that?" Torin hisses through clenched teeth, rearing up on her hindlegs a little and stoping the ground deftly " I knew it aunt Alynna.. I knew it. you listend to him... but you failed to notice one thing : the blight around the tree stoped to go further.. it does not receede.. but it doesnt aproach neither.. please realize that Kibou looks a little confused then, tilting his head. "Hades? Who's that?" No church, human upbringing... heck, they'd only found out about the greater spirits' Existence recently. "He sounds like a complete..." luckily he cuts off with Divinity's question, again wanting to know the answer more than get his opinion out. And of course loses interest completely at Torin's reaction. That was... she seemed really angry. Arinnya's tails twitch with annoyance at the whole situation with the tree. "Who knows. It wasn't developed that way. There's no logical reason for it, but thats the way it is, now isnt it..." Divinity whispers, "I shall trust your judgement." Torin exhales softly and closes her eyes, hugging he arms around her shoulders as she starts to shiver a little, slowly padding away from the tree " I will.. trust you too... aunt Alynna... but somehow... I feel not that well about this.. not the least"# Kibou clenches his teeth, nodding a little. "Judgement... right, it's the chancellor's tree. .. Just as long as it comes back." he blinks suddenly at Divinity then, tilting his head. Something about the way she'd just spoken... nah, it wasn't familiar. "And... something could happen if it's gone?" he asks then, the next blink turning on Torin. Arinnya just motions for everyone, still around, to follow her around the tree. She looks damn depressed about the whole affair... Kibou nods slowly as he's motioned to, stepping up to follow after and stopping where he's told. "Hana wants to know if she should come out," he asks, sounding kind of sollemn. Divinity whispers, "I am quite blind, can someone lead me?" Torin sighs and takes a few steps backward to stand next to Divinity, touching her shoulder " let me be your guide mylady" You yerf, "Essentially what we have to do is dance off the mana. I have to admit, I dont know what the hell Hades meant when he said that. I'm going to cast a tiny spell, the smaller the better, to initiate its withdrawal.. Gods this makes me feel silly, and stupid..." Kibou looks rather miffed, then nods. "Hana's better at that." He says, flinching, but the transformation already started and after a few moments coered in black the dark shell explodes away revealing a pale skinned, limp winged girl. "Let's start," she immediately declares, with obviously forced gaiety. Divinity whispers, "Hmmm, I am rather bad at dancing.... bumping into the others and all that." You yerf, "I am not very good at dancing myself, I shall see who else I can get to come..." Torin winces a little and looks up at the tree again with a sad expression, her tail curling up between her hindlegs " I still do belice he is tricking you Aunt Alynna,..... do you know how my teacher refered to Hades ? The father of lies" Hana puts on a slight pout, leaning back against the tree trunk. "She's right, it's stupid. But, if the same thing as last night happens again it'll be worse." Her voice is really funny... and obviously she Is capable of stopping to think. Arinnya has tears in her eyes, though she's trying not to cry. "I dont have any choice... if any of this was in my control, then the mana tree would have been a solution. It didn't." Divinity whispers, "Now what exactly is going on?" You yerf, "Even if Hades is tricking me, what does it matter? He can destroy the forest no matter what I do." Torin curses loudly and clenches her paws into fists, a strong white aura coming alive around them as she looks away from the tree and at Arinnya " For gaias sake did you listen to me Aunt alynna ? The blight stoped to move in on the tree.. all we have to do is to further its influence and it will drive the rot away even more.. dont you realize that ? and think about this ; if the tree is helping hades.. why should he anounce it to you ? its such a simple trick... not worthy for a grater spirit like him" Divinity suddenly passes out as the sleeping sickness takes over. Hana just sort of blinks back and forth between Torin and Alynna, then shifts discretely to Divinity's side. "They're arguing, I think.." she murmurs, then looks a bit surprised. as the only calm person left falls asleep. You yerf, "No, no, thats wrong Torin. The reason why is because the espers need to be here. No matter what I do, it wont help a thing unless the espers come back. Its just how things work. The only thing that will help the situation, is the thing that I can't actually make happen." Torin sighs deeply and shakes her head some more as she looks down at her feet "This tree... it .. i cant belive its furthering the blight...I cant accept that such a pure thing.. directly from mother gaias heart could destroy her creation Hana scratches her head a bit, then actually goes and cuffs Torin a bit rather boyishly. "Didn't the chancellor say it'd come back, and she was just putting it away?" Arinnya looks really really depressed, as if she's watching the world crumble before her eyes. "Well, I suppose we should get started, with just us. It doesn't seem like anyone else cares enough to come." Hana hmphs, putting her hands on her hips as she looks at Torin. "I know, but the chancellor says it's because we're not all here. So we put the tree away, go get them, come back and bring back the tree. We'll fix it before it gets bad," she says, looking kind of miffed as she starts following said dance. Torin doesnt react to Hana anymore as she just dances along, and its quite easy to tell that each steps costs her alot willpower Arinnya is dancing around the tree slowly, its a very slow and deliberate dance, because having to withdraw the tree itself is not a happy event for her at all. Hana's dance follows the same steps, not happy about this either and looking very intent, muttering to her brother the whole time in turn. "If something comes, we'll stop it, everything'll be alright you'll see..." she sounded as if she fully planned to say 'I told you so' later, and didn't much seem to care about being ignored, not just saying it for other people's benefit. Arinnya starts her path around the tree, in a triangle, then a square, then a hexagon. Every time she makes a complete orbit, she starts another polygonal movement that is one side greater, having the others follow her around, and each orbit is followed by the path glowing, and drawing its mana out over the forest again... Hana continues following quietly after Arinnya, by now just intent on not screwing this up as she copies her. Still, she closes her eyes as the mana is released, sighing a little as even she's able to feel it. There was more, so, maybe a little help.. Kristen assumes she is following Arinnya as well, making use of the mimic ability if required to copy anything supernatural that needs to be done. Arinnya is dancing a nice circle, which is drawing mana away from the tree. Not many people are dancing happily, and in fact, Arinnya is on the verge of crying, as the tree, shrinks, slowly... as the dance continues up the polygons, through hexagon, septagon, and octagon now ... Hana's followiung after, not looking sad but remarkably determined actually, every now and again saying something out of the blue and to no-one in particular as she dances along around the tree, doing her best to follow the steps. Any other time and she'd be enjoying this so much..
